A 5.9 earthquake hit the DC area (& Smithsonian Folkways offices) yesterday - we made it through fine, & hopefully everyone else did as well!  What songs would you put on an earthquake-themed playlist?  We picked “Shake It & Break It” by Kid Clayton from the 1983 Folkways album “The First Kid Clayton Session: 1952”.  Read about the challenging process that went into recording Clayton.
